How It Actually Works

Every CoinTap has an NFC chip embedded inside the metal. This chip contains a cryptographic private key that:

• Can never be extracted or duplicated
• Signs a unique challenge every time you tap it
• Links to a blockchain record of the coin's specs and current owner
• Protected by EAL6+ certified hardware—the same security level used in banking cards and passports

When you buy a CoinTap, you get the physical coin AND blockchain ownership. When you sell, the buyer verifies the coin, pays into escrow, you transfer ownership with a tap, and funds release automatically.
